History and Locations

Founded 2004 in Finland, OptoGaN operates an R&D center in Espoo, Finland and starting since 2006 a full pilot line in Dortmund, Germany.

The companies extensive R&D is based at Micronova, which is the state of the art nanotechnology center of Helsinki University of Technology.

The pilot line in Dortmund, Germany is dedicated for product and process development. It is equipped with an industrial type of MOCVD reactor and a full chip processing line and is located at the site of MST.factory-dortmund.

MST is a technology center owned by the City of Dortmund. Its mission is to provide high tech companies with appropriate technology infrastructure as a platform to successful execute product and process development and to manage short time to market business development.
